It’s a fucking tasty time to be a Quentin Tarantino fan. (Pardon our french! QT brings out multiple languages, subtitled and otherwise, in us!) Today, Tarantino XX, the comprehensive 20th anniversary Blu-ray set in his name, hits shelves. And next month, we are getting the best Christmas present ever: a whole new QT adventure in the form of a slave revenge flick (Django Unchained.)
In honour of this highly significant chain of events (one of our main bonding points back at the start of the blog was our undying affection for Inglourious Basterds and The Bride!), we’ve decided to revisit QT’s bloody brilliant resume. We’re going to post a piece on one of his movies about movies every other weekday leading up to Django‘s release, picking out our favourite moments, characters, songs and quotes from each. We’ve also got some other themed surprises in store for December, but we’ll tell you more about them later….
In the meantime, grab a Royale with Cheese, a shot of Chartreuse and your Hattori Hanzo, and prepare to go on a roaring rampage of fangirlage with our favourite BAMF (Badass Makeshift Fille)! The battle begins today, as our first film gets sliced off our list at noon!
