We have all seen, or at least heard of, the 2012 rendition of The Amazing Spider-Man. Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) is just a typical high school student whose biggest problem is trying to get the attention of his crush, Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone). That is, until he sneaks into a lab and accidentally gets bitten by a genetically modified spider. Suddenly, this average teen changes into something he never knew he could become.
As Peter begins his transformation into the superhero we all know and love, past memories are awakened regarding his mother and father, who seemingly abandoned him as a child. While Peter’s main goal is to save the city and the girl he loves from a new villain that he feels responsible for creating, there is a lingering question of what really happened to his parents and what they have to do with him becoming Spider-Man.
The DVD, released on November 9, has much more available than just the movie. You get hours of special features, including deleted scenes, and a behind-the-scenes feature titled “Right of Passage: The Amazing Spider-Man Reborn,” which discusses the decision to start fresh with a new face and a new storyline more traditional to the comics. This DVD has everything. Whether you want to spend your time drooling over the attractive cast, or learning about the creation of one of the summer’s greatest films, The Amazing Spider-Man has got it all!
