Caleb might not only the only Ravenswood resident to make the move to Rosewood this year. If former Ravenswood star Brett Dier–who was the 2014 Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour to promote his new show, Jane the Virgin, on Friday–has his way, Luke Matheson will be on the ‘A’ train soon.
“That could happen,” Dier told Cinefilles coyly when asked about him returning to Pretty Little Liars following the Jane the Virgin panel. “I mean, I hope I go back. I love everybody there. They’re so great.”
He continued, “[Creator] Marlene [King] is amazing and Keegan Allen is actually one of my best friends. It would be sweet to work with him.”
When Cinefilles noted that although Ravenswood the show is no more, Ravenswood the place is still around, Dier perked up, noting that the Liars “could visit” sometime in the future. And hey, considering the way things are going downhill fast for Alison right now, it’s entirely possible she might want to run to the nearby town for some sort of refuge. Better yet, maybe Haleb will head through the spooktacular town on their way to some sort of other spinoff adventure (Bonnie and Clyde homage with those two, anyone?).
Then again, if they really want to bring Allen’s character, Toby, into the equation, it might be best to have Luke come to Rosewood. Mr. Cavanaugh has a lot on his plate now that his house has been burned down, so unless he’s planning on fleeing the town (and his girl Spencer!) completely, it’s unlikely he’ll want to make any big roadtrips elsewhere.
