With the fAtal finale of Pretty Little Liars airing tonight, we take a look at our top five ‘A’ suspects.
Considering the recent announcement a few weeks ago that ABC Family has ordered two more seasons of the hit drama, it’s unlikely that we’ll be meeting ‘Big A’ during tonight’s finale, but I think it’s safe to say that blood will be shed, some questions will be answered, and even more questions will be raised.
I don’t care what anyone says, I LOVE Mona. She is one of the most sketchy, devious and conniving characters on this show, and I love her for it. You can always count on her to stir up some shit. Do I think she’s ‘A’? No. However, we do know based on previous seasons that she was/maybe still is working for ‘A,’ and even if she’s not, it’s pretty obvious that Mona has her hands in more things than we’re aware of, and I don’t think we’ve come even close to seeing her highest level of crazy just yet.
4. Alison’s Twin
Okay yeah, I know this isn’t even a thing in the show, but based on my knowledge of the book series, Alison has a twin named Courtney. Now, while I know the show has taken a very different direction than the books, I still wouldn’t put it past the writers to somehow place her into the world of the show-maybe she’s lurking in Radley, or maybe the Alison we THINK we know is actually Courtney?! A stretch, I know, but it’s ABC Family, you never know.
3. A Liar
Even if it is someday revealed that one of our girls is ‘A’, it won’t be tomorrow nor will it likely be anytime soon, but I’m still not ruling out the possibility that one of them could be ‘A’. My money is on Spencer, if only because her family seems to have her hands in everything and there are periods of time that Spencer can’t even remember, and this could easily be further explored in later seasons.
I’m 99 per cent positive that ‘A’ is not Allison. It’s too obvious, and that’s not the route that Pretty Little Liars tend to take, and besides, the girls suspect Alison to be ‘A’, and if history is anything to go by, the girls are rarely right about anything when it comes to their tormentor. I think it’s pretty obvious that Allison is keeping a lot of secrets and that she’s not as innocent as she would like everyone to believe, but there’s no way that she’s ‘A’.
My person number one ‘A’ suspect is … someone we don’t know yet. While I think it’s totally possible that we have met ‘A; before, at this point in the series, I’m thinking we haven’t met them yet, and if we have, they’re someone incredibly obscure and almost unmemorable. With at least two more seasons to go, I don’t think it’s realistic that we’ve met ‘A; yet, and if we haven’t, the series still has plenty of time to introduce new characters and develop them further enough so that if they ever were revealed as ‘A’, it wouldn’t be a total piss-off.
